Autodidakt As an artist, I intuitively seek to build and adopt new themes. I search for ways to express magic and loss, and how the human soul rejoices and mends in order to deal with both and restore balance. To do this I create distant, undiscovered spaces so that the spectator is free to explore and make that space his or her own. I also enjoy creating hot, passionate images that mirror the inner places of the viewer, a place that allows him or her to imagine a desired reality rather than the skin and threads he/she are garnished with. My work regularly explores the duality intrinsic to life: good or evil, light over dark, Heaven and Earth, men and women. What I like to do is blur those divisions, challenging the viewer to examine the boundaries and rules of his or her life. Above all, I want that viewer to ask "deep" questions: What, for example, might a person not tied to a traditional gender role offer and receive from a society obsessed with gender? How do people really view their lives? What are the things that make a person truly ha In my art and my life, there are several things that I do habitually: I love to observe life and reflect on it. I embrace optimism. I explore what is personal and important in a situation. I am not afraid of facing fear and learning from it. I truly believe that the "known" in our day to day lives is neither the beginning nor the end; the unknown can be our friend, as well--and it is that "unknown" that I love to explore passionately in my art. Complex human nature - simple desires : Observe life and reflect : EMBRACE OPTIMISM : Explore what is personal in a situation : Explore what is important in a situation : EMBRACE FEAR : The “KNOWN” is neither the beginning, NOR the end : Dedication to a body of work : The INNER CHILD is the INNER FORCE : Always Passionate, sometimes red hot Transscript from Monkdogz Urban Art: Monkdogz over the past few years has had the privilege of working with a number of Danish artists realizing there is a huge volume of talent birthed in that area of the world. Our focus here lies with a very gifted artist from Betina has exhibited with us on a number of occasions here in Although each of Jung’s pieces is unique, making its own statement. The overall composition of her work just seems to dance with color, structure and imagination. There are hallmarks… indicators if you will, that are consistent with the development of a great artist. Whether you look at one of her older series such as “Imagination” or one of her more recent works such as “Absolutely no Desire”, the artwork supersedes time and bears the signature of Jung’s vision. The same can be said of her sculpture from “Only for color Blind” to “I only wear Brands”; each is different yet consistent with the artist’s personal style. It is in both the consistency and versatility of the work that we see a future for Jung who is destined to produce important and memorable art. We are looking forward to watching and participating in the development of this talented Danish artist. Galleri director Bob Hogge Monkdogz Urban Art, New York.
